Top Beauty, Hair & Fashion by Jacinda Collins Get your swag in order this Summer with these Fashion Trends. Remember if something is hott someone else has a cheaper knock off version. Which means you don't have to spend money like a celebrity just to look like one. When you shop look at quality, what you can rock it with, is it in STYLE and always always try it on. Everyday we all go through something, more times negative than positive. These situations often bring down our confidence, single us out in a bad way, and hurt. No one should see pain and struggle when they look at you. If you look in the mirror and it just is not right DON'T WEAR IT. Please don't give haters ammunition to make fun of you. It took a while for me to realize but I do care what people think about me on some levels - we all do.On the flip side of things there are also people who just can't afford to be a Fashionista. I say work with what you have but when you do buy new things make sure it looks great. TJ Maxx and Marshalls are great examples. Both stores have items that can fit into any budget. You can get all of your Basics from those stores. Before you go shopping search for the hottest fashion trends out, and print a photo of an outfit. The sales reps will be more helpful if they have a visual of what you're looking for. There are tons of retail stores out there so if your fav store doesn't have it look at new places. Alternatives: Learn how to sew. It may sound funny but I know many young women who didn't have money but their mother or grandmother had a sewing machine. They started out slow just fixing items that were damaged. Then they moved up to combining clothes that they already had. These women never tell strangers they made the outfit themselves and you would never guess either. Last but not least, Consignment Shops and Community Organizations. I don't want to leave anyone out because we are all the same inside no matter where our clothes come from. If you decide to buy from Consignment Shops make sure they have a fitting room. When shopping wear something form fitting under your original clothes such as a baby tee and leggings. Then when you get home wash the items before putting them on your skin. Last, don't be afraid to use community organizations such as churches and The Urban League. Get what you need, learn to sew, wash the items and keep it moving. If all you can afford is free clothing don't be ashamed, no one is perfect and eventually hard times will end. Remember, you don't have to tell ANYONE where you got your clothes from, you can simply say "I don't remember."
